Work to begin on new bus lane and bus stop along Victoria Way

Woking Victoria Way

11:49am 3rd January 2018

Works to create a dedicated bus lane and bus stop along Victoria Way that will improve public transport, whilst enhancing access to Woking Town Centre, will begin on Monday 8 January 2018.

As part of the Woking Integrated Transport Project, the Victoria Way north-bound carriageway will be adapted to incorporate a dedicated bus lane. The lane will begin at the junction with Lockfield Drive and continue to the pedestrian crossing by The Lightbox Museum and Gallery.

A new bus stop will be created by the Bedser Bridge to provide convenient access to Woking Town Centre.

To enable works to progress safely, the existing left-hand lane along Victoria Way will be closed for a period of three months from Monday 8 January 2018.

We would like to thank road users for their patience and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

For the latest information on these highway works, please visit the Woking Integrated Transport Project webpages.
