WATCH: Shameless fly-tipper dumps rubbish on road in Chertsey

Published at 9:54am 24th March 2017.

A person has been caught on camera shamelessly fly-tipping on a road in Chertsey.

The person can be seen getting out of a blue Ford Transit van on Lyne Crossing Road, before opening the back doors and emptying a bag of rubbish onto the floor.

Runnymede Borough Council says it is an unregistered van with the registration YH53FGE.

Can you help identify who this is? See the video for yourself:

Runnymede Borough Council has told Eagle that this is part of a wider appeal to crack down on potential fly-tippers.

A spokesperson said: "We really need resident support to build intelligence on potential fly-tippers, if people come across a tip which appears to have info/addresses labels let Runnymede know on 01932 425656 (a voicemail can be left out of hours)."

A nation wide campaign, #CrimeNotToCare has also been launched in association with all councils and Keep Britain Tidy.

It's to make hosueholders/builders aware of their responsibilities not to give waste to unregistered waste carriers.

We're told some of the flytippers may look legitimate because they are using six month old vehicles and charging only a fraction under the going rate.

You can find out more on the Keep Britain Tidy website.
