Aldershot Town Football Club have presented Rushmoor Borough Council with proposals for the redevelopment of the entire EBB Stadium.

The plans could see the potential development of a new stadium on the site of the club's home since its original formation in 1926.

Features include the development of new standing and seated areas, as well as new bars and conference facilities, aimed at providing the club with a stronger financial base by adding revenue outside matchdays.

Speaking about the proposals, Shahid Azeem, Chairman of Aldershot Town Football Club, said: “The announcement today forms the very start of an exciting new era for the club, by transforming the facilities at our Stadium.

"This vision for the future development of the site will help to create a sustainable future for Aldershot Town FC and support our footballing ambitions."

David Clifford, Leader of Rushmoor Borough Council, added: “It is great to see the commitment that the Club has to bringing forward ambitious ideas which will support the future sustainability of Aldershot Town Football Club and the town.

"Rushmoor Borough Council has a long and valued relationship with the Club and we look forward to an exciting future for the Club both on and off the pitch.”

The club said that images of how the stadium will look are to be released in due course.
