Victory for Flames Thrashing Dundee Away

Published at 10:55am 26th November 2017.

It was a 5-0 win for the Flames as they took on Dundee Stars away.

Ian Watters bagged the open goal...after just 21 seconds!

Brett Ferguson doubled the lead near the 2 minute mark and  Chris Carrozzi recorded his 2nd shutout of the season.

Spectrum’s men had the only goal of the 2nd when Jez Lundin made it 4-0 near the halfway point and Walker’s 2nd of the evening at 46:29 had his side in command with the 5th and final goal of the match.

Head Coach Paul Dixon said:

“It definitely makes the return journey a lot more comfortable after a solid win...

“It was good to get scoring early the way we did to put ourselves in a good position as the long distance road club.

“Chris was there when we needed him to make some big stops and we were able to put a bit of distance between us and the Stars as the game moved into the deeper stages.

“We worked hard, we had the puck a lot, and we played in their end for a good portion of the game, which is really what you are hoping to achieve from night to night.

Now we have a new challenge to get home less than 12 hours prior to faceoff when Milton Keynes come to Spectrum.”
