The Guildford Flames ice hockey club have welcomed new team member Charles Wells.

The 26 year old Canadian spent last season with French 2nd league team Mulhouse.

Playing in forward position, the 5'9", 180lb player helped Mulhouse to the league title and promotion back to the country's top flight with 9 goals and 29 points in 29 starts.

Prior to this, Wells played at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in his hometown Edmonton, Canada.

His successes in this team include two college titles in back to back campaigns, alongside new Flames forward John Dunbar.

Head Coach Paul Dixon said: "In college he and John Dunbar played together so he is another part of a group of players who know each other already, and maybe we can use that to our advantage considering our short turnaround from player arrival to opening the League and Cup campaign.

"We know Charles is excited to get going and we are looking forward to welcoming him to Guildford at the end of next month."
