Aldershot Town are recruiting for their Under 17 squad

Published at 5:30pm 6th June 2017.

Do you have what it takes to represent Aldershot Town Football Club at youth level? Well the Shots are now recruiting for their Under 17 squad.

The club are looking for footballers leaving year 11 or 17 year-olds who qualify as first-year scholars are required to compete in the Ryman Youth League, Conference Youth Alliance and FA Youth Cup.

So what will it involve?

Alongside 10-14 hours of professional coaching with UEFA A-Licence coaches, and one-to-two competitive games, per week, students would complete a two-year BTEC Level 3 in Sport to leave with the equivalent of three A Levels.

Players also receive access to full-time sports science and medical staff, a unique individual training programme and constant review and analysis of their development.

As well as this, those taking part in the course also have the chance to move into Higher Education with links with Universities in the USA, as well as opportunities to gain skills in other areas of professional sport, including medical, sports science, coaching and analysis.

Fancy it? Anyone interested should submit their CV to Academy Manager Lee Collier by emailing academymanager@theshots.co.uk and bob.green@theshots.co.uk.
