Woking avoid relegation after Dagenham & Redbridge draw

Woking Football Club will remain in the Vanarama National League after a 1-1 draw with Dagenham & Redbridge on the final day of the 2016/17 season.

Heading into the final games there had been worries that Woking could get relegated, however a good run of form eased their position.

Ahead of today's game Garry Hill's side knew they needed a point to absolutely confirm their survival.

Max Kretzschmar put the Cards 1-0 after 12 minutes, but a late equaliser from Scott Heard saw the game end in a draw.

Woking finished 18th in the league on 53 points, three points above the relegation zone.
