Aldershot keep play-off dreams alive with Dover win

Published at 7:16am 18th April 2017.

Aldershot Town have kept their play-off dreams alive after a win against Dover on Monday.

A 73rd minute penalty from Matt McClure was the difference between the two sides before a late red card for Idris Kanu.

The win has moved Gary Waddock's side to fifth in the Vanarama National League, just inside a play-off spot.

However Dover, in sixth, are just a point behind them with a game in hand.

On Saturday Aldershot travel to North Ferriby United with just three games left this season.
