Guildford Flames suffer their third consecutive defeat

Published at 12:12pm 13th February 2017.

It was a difficult weekend for the Guildford Flames, after losing 9-4 at home on Saturday to top of league Telford.

Unfortunatly, Sunday was not any better, after a loss of 5-4 away to Sheffield.

These disappointing results give Paul Dixon's side their third consecutive loss, leaving them at 6th in the league.

After Saturday’s home game, forward Tom Duggan said:

“I think it was end to end. We were playing a very good team, we had a pretty poor first period and a pretty poor third period, but if you look at us in the second period, we played some good hockey.

“We’ve got to put a full 60 together this time of year, against every team, especially a team like that.

“Our fans are always a huge support at home, it was disappointing to come out like that in the first [half], but certainly for Basingstoke that support will carry us through.”
