Guildford Flames bounce back after Saturday defeat

Published at 8:10pm 23rd January 2017.

The Guildford Flames bounced back to beat Swindon 3-1 on Sunday.

It came after a disappointing 5-2 loss to Milton Keynes the day before.

The weekend's results leave them 6th in the league.

Head Coach Paul Dixon said: “We didn’t think the overall flow of play on Saturday was particularly reflected in a 3 goal deficit defeat so we don’t want to be too negative, but we were certainly looking for a better outcome."

"I thought on Sunday we responded well.  Fortunately we got a couple of goals at a time when it looked like the first team to score might win it, and Dean made some great saves at the back to help us hold a lead and secure the points.”
