Double defeat for the Guildford Flames

Guildford Flames suffered their third defeat in five matches as they were beaten by 7-4 at Swindon Wildcats on (Saturday 24th October).

The Flames took an early lead through Jens Eriksson, but then conceded five goals inside the first 13 minutes with Carlos Finucci scoring twice and Adam Harding, Tomasz Malasinski and Aaron Nell all finding the net.

Matt Towe converted early in the second period to reduce the deficit, but the Wildcats replied through Finucci, his third score of the evening.

Eriksson and Kevin Phillips both scored to give the away side some hope, but that was quickly diminshed when Malasinksi added his second of the night to seal the victory for the Wildcats.

They suffered a further defeat against the Sheffield Steelers 5 - 2 at the Spectrum on Sunday (25th Oct).
