Farnborough Police disperse around 250 vehicles during 'organised car meet'

Published by the Eagle Radio News Team at 3:53pm 7th July 2020.

Farnborough Police say they had to disperse around 250 to 300 vehicles during an 'organised car meet'.

Two officers attended Sulzers car park on Friday night (3 July).

In a post of Facebook, the force said vehicles were 'spilling out into the leisure centre car park'.

They went on to say a gathering of this size was not acceptable:

"Not to mention the noise nuisance these meets cause to local residents in nearby roads.

"Between the two of us, we dispersed every vehicle.

"These meets will not be tolerated in this area, the way the vehicles drive in and out is anti-social and causes a nuisance across the area."
