Man repeatedly punched in face in Guildford attack

A man has required hospital treatment after being attacked near Guildford town centre.

He suffered facial injuries after being repeatedly punched as he walked round the back of the Odeon Cinema on Bedford Road.

Police say it happened last Monday (22 June) and are searching for a man and woman who followed him before the assault.

The male suspect, who struck the victim in the face several times, is described as white, of slim build and in his 30s.

He is said to have short brown gelled hair and was wearing a light blue or green short sleeved t-shirt with a ‘Y’ on the front and three buttons down from the collar. He was possibly wearing shorts.

The female suspect was white, in her 40s or 50s and overweight.
