Police are investigating an attempted robbery at the Post Office in Ash.

A man threatened staff with a knife and demanded money at the shop in Guildford Road shortly after 2:30pm on Sunday (21 June).

Officers say the suspect, who had his face covered, caused damage to the shop, but nothing was taken and no-one was hurt in the incident.

He left the scene on a bicycle.

As part of the investigation Surrey Police have been carrying out enquiries in the area to locate the suspect and are reviewing CCTV.

They are also keen to hear from anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area.
