Police search for man who entered the Thames in Surrey

Surrey Police are searching for a missing man who was seen entering the River Thames in Sunbury last night (16 June). 

The 30-year-old man had been on a boat close to River Walk at Sunbury Lock on the southern side of the river when he entered the water at around 7pm. 

Surrey Search and Rescue and specialist dive teams are assisting with the search. 

The man was last seen wearing a green and black camouflage t-shirt, grey shorts, and green Nike trainers.

He is described as:

  • White, 
  • 5ft 8ins tall.
  • Slim build. 
  • Bald.
  • He has a tattoo on his neck and wrist.
