Published by the Eagle Radio News Team at 7:06pm 4th June 2020.

It has been confirmed that three further patients being treated at NHS trusts with hospitals in Surrey have died after testing positive for COVID-19.

Confirmed deaths relating to coronavirus at the trusts with hospitals in the county now stand at 1,131.

It is not clear exactly how many of those deaths have been in Surrey, as some of the trusts also have other sites based outside of the county. NHS England only publishes figures for deaths by hospital trust.

Across England 149 more people have died in hospital after contracting the virus, bringing the total to 26,383.

"Patients were aged between 26 and 100 years old.

"Five of the 115 patients (aged between 53 and 97) had no known underlying health condition.

"Their families have been informed."
