"Very out of character": Concern over missing Surrey man

Police are looking for a missing man from Surrey - saying his disappearance is "very out of character for him."

Anthony ‘Tony’ Richards, 61, from Esher, was last seen at his home address on Monday, 18 May 18 at 8.30pm.

He had recently moved into a new flat, but was well known in the area having lived on a bench by Molesey Lock, where people would stop to talk, and play chess with him.

Tony is described as:

  • White
  • 6’2” tall
  • Slim build
  • Brown hair and a large beard

He was last seen wearing a black long sleeved top, faded black trousers, a dark hat and carrying a grey camping style backpack.
