An NHS porter is back on the move, after his motorbike was stolen from Frimley Park Hospital last month.

Ian Howell finished his shift on 21 April to find his bike missing from the hospital car park, as previously reported by Eagle Radio.

But, thanks to a fundraising campaign launched by his colleagues on the Parkside Ward, he went to pick up his new vehicle on Friday (8 May).

In total, £2,140 was donated on the GoFundMe page.

Ian has thanked those who supported the fundraising effort:

"Well, I'm just overwhelmed by their kindness.

"No matter how big, how small the donation was, it was the thought that counts.

"I just thank everyone that put in for me.

"Security has stepped up [for the new motorbike] - I had a nice big chain bought for me for my birthday.

"I can chain it to something so hopefully that won't happen again and I don't want it to happen to anyone else really."
