Fleet GP surgery can keep seeing elderly patients safely after generosity of local builder

A nurse at a GP surgery in Fleet has thanked a local builder for his generosity - which has meant they can keep seeing elderly patients.

Natalie Evans, who works at Richmond Surgery, put out an appeal for materials to adapt the car park, so some appointments could be done safely there, without people having to enter the building.

Within minutes James offered to help, plus do the work needed - all for free.

Natalie says it went above and beyond:

"We never expected somebody to give up their time, let alone provide all the materials as well, for nothing - which was really, really lovely.

"A massive thank you to him and everyone else that had actually offered.

"I must admit we were actually gobsmacked at how many people were willing to come round and do things and help out."

She has also praised those who have donated PPE to the surgery, which has included 100 face shields through a local fundraising effort.
