People across Surrey and Hampshire clap for their carers for a sixth week

Hundreds of bunches of flowers were handed to NHS staff at Guildford's Royal Surrey last night (30 April), as people clapped for their carers for the sixth week.

Hug a Hospital, a campaign which aims to boost the morale of health workers during the coronavirus crisis, gave out 300 bunches of flowers during the national tribute.

People across Surrey and Hampshire once again clapped and banged on pots and pans from their doorsteps, windows and gardens at 8pm.
