Police officers have warned they are still cracking down during the coronavirus lockdown, after drivers failed to comply with waiting restrictions in Virginia Water over the weekend.

Cars were seen parked on the A30 and in lay-bys, and were issued with Fixed Penalty Notices.

Runnymede Beat said these measures are in places to "regulate traffic and prevent crowding".

Officers have said they will be continuing their patrols in the area this week.

One car also had to be removed for blocking an entrance, with an urge for motorists to be "mindful when parking your vehicle".
