Praise for Farnborough seven year old who went to get help during fire

Firefighters have said ‘well done’ to a “very brave” seven year old following a fire at his Farnborough home.

While his mum went to get his brother, he went outside to get help when an outbuilding utility room went up in flames.

Crews received the call at around 7am last Wednesday (8 April), with Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service confirming it involved an old fridge-freezer.

Two crews from Rushmoor Fire Station attended the scene in Twelve Acre Crescent and have since praised the little boy for his actions.

They have sent him a personal video message to say well done.
