Rainbow mural painted at Frimley Park Hospital to thank NHS

Published by Grace Mcgachy at 5:06pm 16th April 2020.

A mural has been painted on the car park of a Surrey hospital to thank NHS workers during the coronavirus outbreak.

It features a blue heart with a rainbow background at Frimley Park Hospital on Portsmouth Road, Camberley.

The rainbow has become a symbol of support for NHS workers with children across the country painting and drawing them and pinning them up in the windows of their homes so they can be seen from the street.

Meanwhile, people across Surrey and Hampshire will take to their doorsteps, windows and balconies again tonight (16 April) for another clap for carers display.

Starting this week our emergency services will add their support with a 'blue light serenade' outside Surrey hospitals including Frimley Park.
