Fundraising campaign aims to give 'survival kits' to NHS staff dealing with the coronavirus outbreak in Frimley

Published by Lettie Buxton at 4:56pm 7th April 2020.

A fundraising campaign has been launched, with the aim of giving 1,000 health workers dealing with the coronavirus outbreak at Frimley Park Hospital a 'survival kit'.

It has been set up by Ash Vale-based courier delivery company Hi Speed Services.

They need to raise £20,000 so the packs can be delivered on Easter Sunday (12 April).

Speaking on The Peter Gordon Breakfast Show this morning, Ian Dawkins said each pack will include fast nutrition items, such as energy bars, shower gel, hand sanitiser and more.

More than £9,000 has been already been raised in the two days since it was set up, with children even donating their pocket money, according to Ian.

Donations can be made on the JustGiving page.
