Woking hospice urgently recruiting staff

Published by Grace Mcgachy at 12:55pm 6th April 2020.

A Surrey hospice is urgently recruiting so they can continue to support the NHS during the coronavirus pandemic.

Woking and Sam Beare Hospice is looking for additional clinical and support staff which will help them increase their bed capacity.

The hospice is looking for registered nurses, healthcare assistants/carers or people with experience in catering or housekeeping.

Susan Cross, Woking & Sam Beare Hospice’s Director of Clinical Services, comments:

“Our focus over the last weeks has been to shore up our staffing levels so that we are able to continue to care for a cohort of extremely vulnerable patients both on our in-patient unit and out in the community.

"As an important part of the North West Surrey Healthcare System, we are working hard to keep our critical clinical services operating and preparing to support our Trust by increasing our bed capacity.

"It has been a massive team effort across the whole organisation.”
