Police are appealing for witnesses after a horse and a rider were involved in an incident at the weekend.

Officers were called to Gangers Hill in Woldingham, Godstone at around 4.30pm on Saturday (4 April).

The horse rider was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries.

The animal had to be put down.

Officers say a vehicle could be involved - and are trying to find it.

"We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything or have any further information or dashcam footage to contact us quoting reference number PR/20075656."
