Two men released on bail after firearm discovery in Woking

Two men have been released on bail after police discovered firearms in Woking. 

Detectives from the Surrey police Serious Organised Crime Unit carried out two search warrants on 1st April at premises in Prey Heath Road in Woking. 

Firearms and ammunition were recovered during the search. 

Mark Butler, 51 of Old Farm Road in Guildford and James Jones, 59, of Prey Heath Road in Worplesdon were charged with possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate and possession of a shotgun without a certificate.

Jones was also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a class B drug.

The pair appeared in court on 2nd April and were released on conditional bail. 

The next court date is to be confirmed.
