Police investigating break-in at Farnham pub

Hampshire Constabulary are investigating after a pub in Farnham was reportedly broken into.

Damage was caused to the Forest Inn in the Holt Pound area, with alcohol stolen.

In a statement the force said:

“We can confirm that travellers arrived at the Forest Inn in Holt Pound, Farnham, at some time on Thursday 19 March.

“Reports were made to police on Friday 20 March after members of the public reported that the pub had been broken into.

“Officers were dispatched to attend but unfortunately had to be diverted due to other ongoing high priority incidents.

“There was ongoing liaison with the owner who was arranging for a private security team to visit the venue and working with the council to arrange eviction.

“Further reports were received on the Saturday and a drone was deployed to monitor the site.

"The travellers moved off shortly after."
