Elderly Camberley woman robbed by masked gang claiming to be disinfecting coronavirus

A gang of robbers forced an elderly woman in Camberley to hand over her jewellery by claiming to be disinfecting it from coronavirus.

Three suspects wearing balaclavas broke into her home in the St Paul's area at around 8:30pm yesterday (16 March), 

Surrey Police say the victim was held by the suspects who claimed they were from the government and they were there to disinfect her belongings of COVID-19 , they have then removed all her jewellery from her hands and neck.

Money was also stolen during the robbery.

Police say they have been working with the victim to offer reassurance and support and the investigation is ongoing.
