Roads flooded across Surrey and Hampshire

There are a number of reports that heavy rain across Surrey and Hampshire has caused flooding on several routes.

It's expected rush hour travel could be affected with spray and flooding on roads making journey times longer.

Among the routes affected are the A3 at Hook and the A331 Blackwater Valley Route.

In Guildford a section of Clay Lane is closed.

Since 10am this morning a Met Office yellow alert for heavy rain has been in place in our area.

Flood Alerts from the Environment Agency have been issued for: 

  • Tillingbourne including Chilworth and Shalford.
  • Cranleigh Waters including Elmbridge, Shamley Green and Bramley and the Littlemead Brook
  • Chertsey Bourne
  • River Mole and its tributaries from Kinnersley Manor to South Hersham
  • River Thames from Shepperton to Molesey
  • Upper River Mole, Ifield Stream, Gatwick Stream, Burstow Stream, Salfords Stream
  • Upper River Wey
  • Hoe Stream
