Three men pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply class A drugs at Guildford Crown Court and were sentenced on Friday (21 February) as follows:

  • Ricky Shanahan, aged 28, of Sutton Way in London, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and was sentenced to eight years and one month imprisonment.
  • Samuel Hughes, aged 28, of Omers Rise in Burghfield Common, Berkshire, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and was sentenced to six years imprisonment.

  •  Ben Kirby, aged 29, of Sutton Field in Whitehill, Hampshire, was found guilty of the offence following a trial at Guildford Crown Court in December 2019. He is due to be sentenced on 1 April.

Detective Inspector Graham Curtis, from SEROCU’s investigations team, said drug dealing causes significant harm in communities:

“We work tirelessly using our specialist resources to tackle the supply of drugs and remove drugs and dealers from our streets.

“I would urge anyone who may have information about drug dealing, regardless of the location, to contact police by calling 101.”

A fifth man was found not guilty following a trial.
