A man has been charged with drink driving following an incident at the McDonalds on the A30 in Camberley.

Daniel Hurst, 21, of Wildridings Square, Bracknell, was given unconditional bail and is due to appear at Guildford Magistrates’ Court on 31 March.

Police say another man was taken to hospital for a check-up after being involved in a collision with a car at the entrance to the McDonalds car park in Camberley around 3.20am yesterday (23 February).

Officers said he had tried to stop the vehicle from leaving after noticing that a female passenger in the car was in distress following an altercation with the driver of the car.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop following a road traffic collision, driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs, common assault and failing to provide a specimen of breath in relation to the incident.

The 21-year-old has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
