Firefighters have battled a large blaze in Aldershot High Street.

It broke out in the ground and first floor of an unused shop in a three storey building.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service told Eagle they were called at 3:25pm on Saturday (22 February).

Five appliances were sent - with a total of 35 firefighters working to put out the blaze from Rushmoor, Basingstoke and Fleet, with assistance from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service.

The blaze broke out in a building in the High Street.
35 firefighters worked to put out the blaze.

Four breathing apparatus were used as well as three jets and two hose reels.

We are told there are no casualties.
