An 82-year-old man has died after collapsing in Farnborough town centre.

Hampshire Constabulary said they were called to Kingsmead yesterday afternoon (21 January) by ambulance staff.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency services were seen near the entrance to the Meads centre.

Officers said the death is not being treated as suspicious and his next of kin have been informed.

A file is being prepared for the coroner.

South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed that paramedic crews attended the scene at around 2pm following a report a man had collapsed.

A service spokesperson added: "Sadly despite the best efforts of everyone involved, the man died at the scene."
