Person in hospital after three-car crash near Guildford

One person has been taken to the Royal Surrey after a crash involving three cars in Worplesdon.

It happened on Perry Hill shortly before 11am, with the A322 Worplesdon Road closed by emergency services.

Ambulance crews as well as firefighters attended the incident.

Paramedics checked people over at the scene and one patient, with back pain, was then taken to hospital.

Surrey Police said one of the drivers suffered "non-life threatening or life-changing injuries".

A Surrey Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said:

“We received a call this morning around 11.00am to a report of an RTC on Perry Hill, Worplesdon. 

“Two fire engines were sent, which arrived at the scene around 11.10am. Three cars had been involved in a collision. 

“The scene was cleared and units left the scene around 11.45am.”
