ANOTHER weather warning for rain has been issued in Surrey and Hampshire this week

After heavy rain across our area following storm Brendan, Surrey and Hampshire is set for another drenching.

The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for rain in our area.

It is set to come into force at 3pm this afternoon (16 January) and last until 11:45pm tonight.

Spells of heavy rain are expected this afternoon and evening leading to some flooding in a few locations.

A flood warning is already in place for part of the River Wey, with several flood alerts also in force.

What to expect?

  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
