Driver in hospital following head-on Milford crash

A person has been taken to hospital after a head-on collision which took place in Milford this morning (14 January).

The A286 Haslemere Road was closed in both directions between Milford Heath Road, by Milford Cricket Club, and Gasden Lane, but has since reopened.

It happened at around 10.35am and involved a Volvo and a Toyota Yaris.

Ambulance and fire crews also attended.

One of the drivers has been treated for injuries while another is being treated for shock.

In a statement South East Coast Ambulance Service said one patient has been taken to the Royal Surrey after being assessed and treated at the scene.

The route was shut for several hours for recovery to take place, with the collision also resulting in an oil spill.

A Surrey Fire and Rescue spokesperson said:

“We received a call this morning around 10.30am to a report of an RTC on Haslemere Road, Milford.

“Two fire engines were sent, which arrived at the scene around 10.40am.

"Three vehicles had been involved in a collision."
