Search for driver of BMW after fatal hit-and-run in Surrey

Police are appealing for information to find a BMW after a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run in Surrey.

Officers were called to the A22 at Whyteleafe on Thursday night (9 January) after a pedestrian was found seriously injured.

The pedestrian, a 30-year-old man from Warlingham, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family has been informed.

In a statement Surrey Police said:

"We are still investigating the circumstances of how the man was injured, but want to locate a 2019 BMW 520i with a registration ending GXK that was seen in the area.

"The BMW is blue in colour, but may look silver or grey.

"It may have damage to the front of the car."
