Fundraising appeal for orphaned wildlife in Surrey

Fundraising appeal for orphaned wildlife in Surrey

Published by the Eagle Radio News Team at 6:00am 3rd December 2019.

A Surrey wildlife charity has launched a fundraising appeal to help orphaned animals in the county.

The Wildlife Aid Foundation in Leatherhead needs £17,000 to build a new accommodation unit to house orphaned and stranded wild animals.

Each year, the charity looks after thousands of animals which are mostly abandoned by parents or orphaned after their parents die in accidents.

Animals rescued in the past include hedgehogs, badgers, bats, songbirds and ducklings.

The charity has been selected to take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge.

This means any donations made on the Big Give website between 12pm on Tuesday 3rd December and 12pm on Tuesday 10th December will be doubled.
