Police warning after burglaries in Fleet and Church Crookham

Police warning after burglaries in Fleet and Church Crookham

Published by Carol Musgrave at 12:44pm 8th November 2019. (Updated at 12:58pm 8th November 2019)

Police are warning us to be extra vigilant as the nights draw in, following three burglaries in Fleet and Church Crookham.

The incidents took place on the same day earlier this month.

Two neighbouring homes in Northfield Road in Church Crookham were broken into on November 6.

Thieves gained entry through the back of both properties, searched them, and then made off with cash and jewellery.

Between 6:30pm and 8:30pm that same day, a property in Basingbourne Road in Fleet was broken into, and cash, jewellery and personal items taken.

Officers say we should be on our guard now that it is darker earlier in the day and take precautions over our home security, including using lighting timer switches, and leaving radios on so that it looks like someone is at home.

We could also install CCTV, alarms and security lighting with motion sensors.

If you have information about these three crimes, or have been offered items for sale you suspect could be stolen, you can contact 101 quoting reference 44190399173.

If you see anything suspicious you can contact 101, or 999 in an emergency.
