South East Coast Ambulance Service supports Poppy Appeal

Published by the Eagle Radio News Team at 6:00am 9th November 2019.

South East Coast Ambulance Service is showing support for the British Legion's Poppy Appeal with a special design on its ambulances.

Poppy stickers feature on all of the service's ambulances.

Twelve SECAmb ambulances, spread across the Trust's Kent, Sussex and Surrey region, have been decorated with a larger poppy design.

SECAmb staff and volunteers will be taking part in Remembrance Sunday parades this weekend and laying wreaths on behalf of the service.

Staff will also travel to Ypres to lay a SECAmb wreath at the Menin Gate Memorial.

SECAmb Chief Executive Philip Astle said:

“The ambulance service has close links with the armed forces and I know that many staff support the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day in their local communities.

“I’m both pleased and proud to see our specially-liveried vehicles responding across our region and would like to thank our suppliers who have helped us to make this happen.”
