A group of travellers have pitched up on land opposite Frimley Park Hospital.

The unauthorised encampment appeared on the area of grassland between the A325 Portsmouth Road and The Grove on Monday (16 September) at around 2.20pm.

Several officers from Surrey Police have attended the site which has around 10 caravans and other vehicles on it.

A spokesperson for the force said they were aware of the encampment and were assessing the situation.

Surrey Heath Borough Council said they would be visiting the site "to resolve this situation as soon as possible".

They confirmed this morning (17 September) the group have left the site.
