Police are appealing for information after a woman was touched inappropriately as she walked through an underpass in Guildford.

It happened during the early hours of last Wednesday morning (4 September).

She was walking through the pedestrian underpass in York Road at around 2.30am when a man walked past her and touched her inappropriately, he then ran off.

The suspect is described as white, between 30-35 years old, around 5ft 7 tall with short black/brown hair.

He was wearing a dark blue/greyish jacket with red stripes down the arms, and was possibly wearing blue jeans.

Surrey Police say enquiries are underway but they are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any other information, to come forward as soon as possible.
