Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in West Byfleet on Saturday (17 August).

The 17-year-old victim was cycling along the canal path near Woodham Lock at around 8:30pm when he was approached by four teenage males.

They demanded he handed over his belongings before punching him in the face and running off with his bag which contained his wallet, gym gear and air pods.

Following a call to his bank, the victim discovered that his card had been used for an unauthorised payment of a Domino’s pizza, shortly after it was stolen.

Officers say they are reviewing the details of the payment as part of their investigation.

The suspects are described as all wearing dark-coloured tracksuits with their hoods up and faces covered with scarves.

They all spoke with English accents and it is estimated that they were all aged 16 to 17 years old.

If you saw what happened or have any information you are asked to call Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference number PR/45190086961.
