A man has been taken to hospital after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest in Woking.

The A320 Guildford Road was closed last night (August 15), after emergency services were called to the scene just before 4pm.

Surrey Police confirm they assisted South East Coast Ambulance at the scene of Mount Hermon at around 4.10pm.

Ambulance crews treated the man, believed to be in his 40s, at the scene.

A cordon was in place along the A320 Guildford Road, between the junction with Constitution Hill and the A247 at Claremont Avenue last night.

A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service said:

"At 15.58 yesterday (Thurs) we sent two cars and two ambulances to a suspected cardiac arrest for a patient outside in Moorholme Road, Woking.

"The crews managed to resuscitate the patient who was taken to St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey for further treatment."

A diversion was in place for drivers but the road has since reopened.
