"Large group of migrants" discovered in lorry in Send

Emergency services are dealing with a migrant incident in Send.

Surrey Police say they were called to the scene at around 2pm and stopped the lorry in London Road. 

The vehicle, with a large ground of "clandestine migrants on board" was heading towards Surrey on the A3. 

Enquiries are underway to establish how many people are involved and the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Those who were on board the lorry are being provided with medical treatment, although it is not believed that there are any immediate concerns at this time.

Ambulance crews are in attendance and the incident remains ongoing.
