Two boys, 12 and 13, arrested over Knaphill pub fire

Two boys have been arrested in connection with a fire that destroyed a derelict pub in Knaphill.

It's after the blaze at the Robin Hood pub on Sunday evening (12 May) in which the two storey building, including the basement, suffered 100 per cent fire damage.

Following the incident Surrey Police confirmed they were working with Surrey Fire and Rescue Service in their investigation into the cause.

Officers have since arrested two boys aged 12 and 13 in connection with the fire.

In a statement Surrey Police said:

"Two boys, aged 12 and 13, have been arrested in relation to the fire at the former Robin Hood pub in Woking on 12 May.

"Both the 12-year-old and the 13-year-old have since been released under investigation.

"Our investigation remains ongoing.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident, or anyone with any other information, to contact us as a matter of urgency.
