South Western Railway trains

Published by Carol Musgrave at 2:05pm 15th March 2019. (Updated at 2:08pm 15th March 2019)

South Western Railway services are being disrupted on Sunday (March 17) by engineering works.

Part of Waterloo and some lines between London and Clapham Junction are closed for all of March 17 for maintenance work.

A reduced train service will run in and out of Waterloo due to engineering work at Woking.

All lines in the Woking area will be closed all day for track maintenance and earthworks.

UNTIL MID-AFTERNOON (about 4pm):

  • Services between Waterloo and Portsmouth via Haslemere will call at Surbiton instead of Woking.
  • Bus services will run between Woking and Guildford to connect with the diverted main line trains.
  • A revised train service will run between Guildford and Alton.
  • Stopping services to Guildford via Woking will be replaced by buses from Weybridge.
  • Trains to Woking via Staines will run to Weybridge. A bus service will be available between Weybridge and Woking.

FROM MID AFTERNOON (about 1600):

  • Services between Waterloo and Portsmouth via Haslemere will call at Surbiton instead of Woking.
  • Bus services will run between Woking and Guildford to connect with the diverted main line trains.
  • A revised train service will run between Guildford and Alton.
  • Stopping services to Guildford via Woking will be replaced by buses from Weybridge.
  • Trains to Woking via Staines will run to Weybridge. A bus service will be provided between Weybridge and Woking.

Services to and from Guildford via Cobham are also affected - trains will only run between Surbiton and Guildford all day.
