Man admits starting Farnham restaurant fire

A man has pleaded guilty to eight counts following a fire at Heaven’s Kitchen restaurant in Farnham in the early hours of Sunday morning (10 March).

Police were called at 3am following reports of a fire in the restaurant which had spread to the flats above.

There were no injuries to anyone within the premises.

On Tuesday (12 March) officers said the site was deliberately set alight.

Giovanni Dell-Anno, 37 of no fixed address, was arrested and charged on eight counts including:

  • Arson with intent to endanger life
  • Arson with recklessness as to whether life is endangered
  • Burglary non dwelling
  • 4 x malicious communications
  • Assault by beating

Dell-Anno pleaded guilty to all counts and has been remanded in custody to attend Guildford Crown Court for sentencing on 11 April.
