Roadworks disruption in Wrecclesham

Roadworks disruption in Wrecclesham

Published by Carol Musgrave at 12:17pm 12th February 2019. (Updated at 12:20pm 12th February 2019)

Drivers in Wrecclesham in Farnham are warned of disruption during road works next week.

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) engineers will be working to replace two sections of underground cable and a link box between Monday February 18 and Friday February 22.

It is part of the energy company's upgrades in the area.

Temporary traffic lights will be located on The Street (A325) for a 100m stretch near the Bear and Ragged Staff public house - and will be staffed at peak hours.

SSEN says there are no planned power supply interruptions - but it is reminding people of their free Priority Services Register for those who qualify and who would need extra help and support when power is cut.

Customers can qualify for SSEN's Priority Services Register if they:

  • Are dependent on electricity for home medical care
  • Have a chronic illness or short term medical condition
  • Are disabled
  • Have special communication needs
  • Have children under the age of five
  • Are over the age of 60
